    Top Three Party Planning Apps

    Last updated 10 months ago

Anyone organising a party knows there are lots of different elements to co-ordinate and plans to make, from securing a venue to organising invitations, music and catering equipment. The rising popularity of smartphones means there are a plethora of apps that can help you with the planning process, ensuring your party takes place without any hitches.

    Smartphone’s in Australia

Australia has the second highest level of smartphone use in the world with more and more apps being used by Australians for a variety of different purposes. Party planning apps help to save time, allowing you to organise even the largest of events with absolute ease.

    Meetup

Meetup.com is one of the largest networks of local groups, giving you access to local knowledge that can prove indispensible when planning a party. Need to know where the best cupcake shop in Sydney is or want help finding a pooch friendly venue? No problem – local knowledge will help you find the answer and Meetup is one of the best ways to access it.

The mobile app allows you to upload photos, schedule and manage meetings, message members of a group, run polls and email invites.

    Punchbowl

For a mobile app that helps you plan a party from beginning to end, investigate Punchbowl. You can create e-vites, track RSVPs, arrange gift registries and create/manage guest lists.

Handy message boards keeps everyone informed and the app uses your location to source local suppliers.

    Event planning tools

Created by an event organiser, this handy app is packed full of timesaving features. A meeting space calculator helps you establish how many guests can fit in a particular space whilst the budget calculator keeps spending in check and can even work out cost per attendee. If you’re working to a specific budget and need to know how an extra purchase will affect the bottom line, this is the app for you.

Party hire equipment in Sydney will likely be one of the elements you need to take care of. Get in touch with on 02 8999 8486.

    Exit Your Wedding in Style

    Last updated 10 months ago

If you’re in the midst of wedding planning, from sending out the invites to organising party equipment hire, don’t forget to think about your exit. End your wedding day on a high note with a dramatically different exit, with options available for all levels of budget.

    By boat

If you’re getting married by the water then why not exit on a boat? Bid your guests farewell and sail off into the sunshine together. You might even want to consider arranging a romantic night-time sail or spend the night at sea.

    Vintage car

For a glamorous end to your wedding day, hire a vintage car, like a Rolls Royce or Limo, and speed off into the night.

    Vintage Motorcycle

If either of you are motorcycle fans then a vintage Harley would be the perfect way to end your day.

    Horse-Drawn Carriage

The ultimate fairytale way to end a wedding day is being whisked off in a horse-drawn carriage.

    Hot air balloon

Definitely a different way to end your wedding day, a hot air balloon ride would be a romantic and memorable way to start your new life together. Float into the sky and gaze at the stars whilst remembering the best bits about your special day.

    Helicopter

If your budget allows it, why not investigate the options available for helicopter rides. This will certainly wow your guests and will provide a thrilling end to your day.

Who Should Make Speeches At A Wedding?

    Last updated 10 months ago

When planning a wedding there are numerous details to take care of, from equipment hire to organising the speeches. Find out who traditionally makes a speech at weddings so you can make sure they have all the information they need as well as organise order and timings.

    Best Man

The best man is viewed as the master of ceremonies for the wedding day and part of his duty is making a speech. The best man usually speaks first, honouring the bride and groom and providing some insight into the life of the groom.

    Father of the bride

The father of the bride traditionally gives his speech following the best man and as the host of the event, thanks the guests for coming along.  It is also commonplace for the father of the bride to welcome the groom into the family and he often speaks about his daughter and her family life.

    The Bride/Groom

The bride and groom will often give a speech after the father of the bride, thanking their parents for supporting the wedding and usually thanking anyone else involved with the event, such as the best man and bridesmaids. Sometimes the groom will make the speech and sometimes the bride will join in too, it’s usually down to personal preference.

    Anyone else?

Although not typically traditional it’s becoming more popular for the head bridesmaid to speak at weddings, akin to the best man’s speech.
