Learning How To Face Paint...
Face painting is a popular activity at many types of kid's parties, for boys and girls alike. When arranging party hire equipment for a birthday or other event, consider hiring a professional face painter or learning how to create a few popular designs yourself.
This video from VideoJug demonstrates how to paint a relatively simple design onto a child's face to great effect. Using a mixture of small, medium and large sized brushes, a high density foam make-up sponge and cosmetic grade face paint that has been approved by regulators in your country, you can paint designs such as a butterfly by first painting a rough outline and then adding detail, depending on the amount of time available and your personal skill level.
In the butterfly design featured, the upper wings are painted around the child's eyes with the lower wings along their cheekbones, taking care to ensure symmetry. You should then choose a complementary or contrasting colour to fill in the design, which can be matched to the child's outfit or costume. After the design has been fully coloured in, you can finish it off by adding a black outline and other details. If you're using glitter, this is best applied in dry form onto wet paint.
